WGS, LLC

William Greene Surveying, LLC (formerly known as W.D. Greene Land Surveying, Inc.) was formed in 1982 by William Greene, PLS. He had worked for Harry W. Marlow, Inc. for several years prior to opening his own practice in Brooksville, Florida. W.D. Greene Land Surveying, Inc. developed a strong list of both municipal and private clientele while assembling one of the most impressive collections of survey documents and records within Hernando County.

In 2007, after the untimely and sudden death of “Bill” Greene, the assets of W.D. Greene Land Surveying, Inc. were sold to a new ownership group that will continue to operate the Brooksville Office while maintaining its current headquarters located in Pinellas Park, Florida.

In October, 2009, due to poor local economic conditions, the Brooksville office was closed, although field crews are still available to work on local projects.

William Greene Surveying, LLC (WGS) currently operates up to three (3) crews utilizing state of the art surveying instruments for construction layout and control, topographic and boundary surveys, route surveys (for roadway and utility improvement projects), utility as-builts, photogrammetric control, platting as well as the preparation of legal descriptions and flood plain determination work.

WGS utilizes conventional total stations as well as robotics and GPS-RTK (Global Positioning System- Real Time Kinematic) technology. Our office staff is well versed in Land Development Desktop as well as Civil 3D and GIS software packages.

Although we predominantly focus our attention to the central west coast of Florida, we have and will continue to expand our working limits throughout the State.
